4 Classic Cocktails to Make: Gin Edition

It’s that time of the week again. Where me and @rachesblogs sit on our balcony and absolutely ruin ourselves.
I won’t bore you with an intro. I know you’re all here just for the drinks. So hopefully you can get making them before the sun goes in this weekend.
This week, everyone’s favourite spirit… Gin.
Gin & Tonic:

No really a cocktail, I know. But there’s so many different variations, and so much you can play around with, that it definitely deserves a spot. Not to mention, it’s one of the best drinks known to man.
Ice in a glass
50ml of gin
150ml of tonic water
For garnish - cucumbers, or limes, or lemons, or raspberries, or strawberries, or rosemary, or mint, or peppercorns, or literally anything else you think might compliment the gin you use.
Bramble:

This one’s @rachesblogs favourite. Fruity, sweet, summery.
25ml/50ml (on preference) gin
25ml lemon juice
3 teaspoons simple syrup
3 teaspoons blackberry liqueur
Mix it up with ice
Garnish with blackberries/raspberries and a lemon peel
French 75:

If you want to feel sophisticated, then you probably shouldn’t be reading my articles. But since you’re already here…
Ice in a cocktail shaker
50ml gin
25ml lemon juice
25ml simple syrup
Top up the glass with prosecco
Garnish with lemon peel
South-Side:

For the true Southern gentleman/lady. Imagine a posh mojito made with gin…
Throw ice in a cocktail shaker
50ml gin
25ml lemon juice
Few teaspoons of simple syrup
Throw in a few sprigs of mint
Shake that shaker. And I mean really shake it. You want to ice in there to mash up the mint leaves
Strain the drink into a martini glass
Garnish with mint
So, there you go. Four gin cocktails to make whilst it’s still sunny.
I appreciate this article’s a bit shorter than usual. A bit blunter too.
But, in all honesty, I just want to get back on the sesh. I'm already half-cut.
Happy drinking, chaps and chapettes.
